PURPOSE:To enable to increase fuel supply appropriately at the low-speed region, by forming a fuel reservoir chamber communicated with a float chamber in a carburetor via an orifice, and communicating said chamber with an intake passage at the portion thereof located between a venturi and the position where a throttle valve is located when it is fully closed. CONSTITUTION:A carburetor of an outboard engine comprises a main fuel system including a main nozzle (not shown) opened at a venturi portion 17 and a slow-speed system communicated with a subsidiary float chamber 12B via a slow-speed passage 22 and including by-pass ports 20, 21 and an idle port 19 which are opened in an intake passage 13 respectively on the upstream and downstream sides of the position where a throttle valve 15 is located when it is fully closed. In such a carburetor, a fuel reservoir chamber 24 is formed adjacently of the subsidiary float chamber 12B, and the chamber 24 is communicated with the subsidiary float chamber 12B via a fuel passage 25 and an orifice 26. Further, a suction nozzle 27 is disposed in the fuel reservoir chamber 24 in the manner that it is communicated via a fuel passage 28 with a subsidiary by-pass port 29 which is opened in the intake passage 13 slightly on the upstream side of the position where the throttle valve 15 is located when it is fully closed. |
