PURPOSE:To decrease a load momentary speed variation without causing any increase of instantaneous speed change, by providing a damper device, which operates in the direction of extension and compression of a governor spring, to a suitable place of a governor lever in an engine speed governor. CONSTITUTION:In case of change in the speed of an engine, a governor lever 4 instantaneously tends to largely tilt because the spring constant of a governor spring 8 is arranged small, however, rapid displacement of the lever 4 is suppressed by action of a dashpot 20 mounted to one end side of the lever 4. In this case, since the dashpot 20 operates to only damp the rapid action of the governor lever 4 at variation of a load and with the lapse of time the acting force on the lever 4 is lost, a tilt position of the lever 4, that is, an opening of a throttle valve is determined in accordance with the spring constant of the governor spring 8 under a steady speed condition of the engine after change of its load. |
