Electronic ignition control unit for vehicle engine

The unit is encapsulated with a housing terminating at one end in a flanged connection member with a projective hood projecting all round. Inside this is a sealing skirt holding a block through which all the connecting pins pass, forming a plug. The flanged member and the block are clamped together by screws at the corners and the pins form a connection with a printed circuit plate inside. At the points where the screws are fitted, the two parts incorporate interlocking elements. Inwardly of these elements is an inner sealing ring and between the connection member and the housing is an outer sealing ring. Beyond the outer ring are resilient hooked locking fingers.
