<p>The bank marks on the cheks or travellers, with a numbering-codifying machine, the number of the genuine identity document of the acquirer, and the nature of such document: P = passport or C = identity card, and the country where it has been issued (according to a simple code which will be printed on a facsimile of the check or traveller and attached to the check book (1). For the credit cards, such data will be marked when issuing the card and with a printing similar to that of other information born by the document. This change complicates to extremes the work of defrauders. The code of countries corresponds to their alphabetic order number: OO1 Abu Dhabi, 048 France, 151 Zambia... </p> |
