<p>An automatic exchange device for an injection molding die automatically exchanges two split dies mounted on an injection molding machine. A die-exchanging base, on which at least two feed paths are formed, is provided at the side of the machine, and two locked split dies for the next molding are placed on one of the paths. The unused path is moved to the side of a die mount of the machine, two split dies mounted on the machine are unclamped from their respective platens, locked, and conveyed by a transfer unit from the machine to the unused path. Then the path which places the split dies for next molding is moved to the side of the die mount, the two split dies are conveyed to the machine, clamped to their respective platens, and unlocked. In this manner, since the work of exchanging the dies can be performed automatically, and the work of replacing the dies on the exchanging base can be carried out during molding, the time required for exchanging dies can be shortened, and the efficiency of the machine increased. </p> |
