PURPOSE:To carry out measurement for the inside of a smokestack correctly in the state that the main body of a measuring means is fixed at a required position on the inner wall surface of the smokestack, by pressing the main body of the measuring means onto the inner wall surface of the smokestack by the pressure of exhaust gas flowing upward through the inside of the smokestack. CONSTITUTION:A winch 9 and a controller 10 are installed on a stage S of a smokestack C, and the main body 1 of a measuring means is connected to one end of a wire 8 unwinded from the winch 9. Further, the controller 10 and a control terminal of the measuring means are connected by a lead wire 11. Such a measuring means 1 is inserted into the smokestack C. As the measuring means 1 is depended downward along the flue of the smokestack C, the pressure of exhaust gas flowing upward through the inside of the smokestack C is acted to vanes 2A, 2B, so that the measuring means 1 is urged onto the wall surface W until its legs 3 rest on the wall surface W. In this state, the main body of the measuring means is supported at a position space a prescribed distance from the wall surface W. When the measuring means 1 is placed at a required position, photographing of the inner wall surface of the smokestack, measurement of pH and sampling of the wall surface are performed by way of remote-controlled operation. |
