PURPOSE:To form an optical mixing part, by bundling plural plastic-made optical fibers after exposing core parts, and implanting the same material as or a material similar to core materials into gaps between the cores. CONSTITUTION:Plural optical fibers are bundled and fixed by optical fiber fixing parts 12 and 13, and a solvent which dissolves only the material of clad layers 19 selectively is added dropwise between both parts to dissolve and remove the clad layer materials. Then, the gap between the core materials is charged with a medium having the same optical properties as or optical characteristics similar to those of the core materials to form the optical mixing part. Said medium preferably uses a monomer of the core material containing a thermal and optical polymerizing catalyst. Then, the optical mixing part is coated with the clad layer material 19 having a less refractive index than the core material. |
