PURPOSE:To ease slide operation of a seat, for such a device as its laterally moved seat is automatically returned to the original position to be fixed there simultaneously with a passenger's leaving seat, by positioning a sitting part by means of engagement of a roller with a mooring washer at the time of lateral movement of the sitting part subsequent to taking seat. CONSTITUTION:In case of laterally sliding a slide seat, repellent of a foot is worked in a condition of being seated on a sitting part 5 and moves said part 5 laterally. At this time, an elevating board 6 and a roller 12 are first lowered due to sitting load applied from above the sitting part 5, and the roller 12 is separated from an engagement face of a mooring washer 11' and further pressed to an induction face of the mooring washer 11, the right end side of which sinking a predetermined amount. Subsequently, when the sitting part 5 is moved in the P direction, the roller 12 gets out from the induction face of the washer 11 and comes into a condition of contacting a letter L-like bent engagement face of said washer, then the sitting part 5 is prevented from moving in the direction contrary to P direction.
