PURPOSE:To improve the atomization characteristics, purify discharged gas, and improve the fuel consumption by providing a whirling chamber and a guide groove on a tip. CONSTITUTION:When a discharge valve not shown in the figure in an injector 20 is energized, the fuel is discharged from a fuel discharge port 24. At this time, the air fed into a gas introduction path 25 through the gas introduction hole 22 of a socket 21 is formed into a whirl flow caused by a guide groove 31 provided along the non-normal direction in the course to reach a whirling chamber 32 through the guide groove 31, thereby an air whirl flow is generated in the whirling chamber 32. The fuel itself discharged from the discharge port 24 is whirled in the whirling chamber 32 in conjunction with the air whirl flow. Accordingly, the fuel discharged from the discharge port 24 is atomized. |
