PURPOSE:To detect quantitatively the tightening torque value and stand-off value as an index value for fitting accuracy and interchangeability by automating the inspection for fitting of screw threads. CONSTITUTION:An object 1 to be inspected is placed on a pedestal 2, and the stepped part 1B thereof is chucked. When a pulley 22 is rotated, a thread gage 3 mounted to a spindle 4 descends and stops by contacting with an internal screw thread 1A but an inside cylinder 5 descends further. Then, the stylus of a switch contacts with the top end face of the gage 3 and a torque motor 14 runs reverse. The gage 3 descends at the moment when it passes the position where the screwing of the thread 1A starts, then the contact with the stylus is released, and while the motor 14 runs forward, the gage descends together with the cylinder 5. The gage 3 measures the fluctuation in the current of the motor 14 when the gage screws to the thread 1A with a torque gage AM. When the gage 3 descends and attains the set stand-off value, an indicator contacts with a detection rod and the switch is changed over to run the motor 14 again reverse, so that the gage 3 ascends together with the cylinder 5. |
