PURPOSE:To uniformly inject a melted material from gates into cavities, by throttling the sectional area of a runner remote from a sprue. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal main runner 2 is drilled in communication with the sprue 7 formed in the upper center of the manifold and extends through the manifold 1. A plurality of branched runners 3 are provided in communication with the main runner 2 and also in communication with the cavities 9 defined by upper and lower molds 10, 11 via nozzles 8 and gates 14. The main runner 2 of the manifold 1 is provided with screw-type throttle valves 6 to reduce the inlet area of the branched runners 3 and the sectional area of the main runner 2 remote from the sprue 7. Therefore, since using the screw type throttles valves, the sectional area of the runner remote from the sprue can be throttled, highly reliable molded items can be obtained in the injection molding for producing many items at a time. |
