<p>PURPOSE:To execute a work of a high load extending over many hours, by detecting by itself an electric power source plug socket installed in a moving range, connecting its own electric power source plug, and using the feed from said plug socket as a power source. CONSTITUTION:A robot is provided with a plug 11 which can be connected to a plug socket. An infrared photodetector is fitted to this plug 11. When the robot arrives at an object work position, or when electric power of a battery is about to be consumed completely on the way of its movement, an infrared detector 17 is rotated, and a plug socket is detected. When infrared rays are detected, the robot turns its direction and makes a direction of the plug 11 coincide with a direction of the infrared rays. The plug 11 is connected to the plug socket by projecting the plug, controlling the direction so that the infrared ray detecting output becomes maximum.</p> |
