An additional part, such as a handle or a pouring opening, is constructed integrally on a folding box folded from a blank, by the additional part being punched from one area of the blank in such a way that it remains connected to the blank by deformable or severable connecting webs. When the blank has been folded to form the folding box, the additional part can be gripped through an access opening in order to sever or deform the connecting webs. In particular in the case of a handle, the latter is constructed on an area of the blank located below another area of the blank and can be gripped through an opening in the area of the blank lying above it. Interacting holding parts on the two areas of the blank prevent the handle being separated from the folding box. <IMAGE>
