PURPOSE:To eliminate a recessed part at the tip part of a fiber scope to prevent foreign matters from penetrating the fiber scope by cutting a columnar transparent body with two planes, which form about 45 deg. to the axis of the transparent body and form about 90 deg. each other to obtain a reflective optical element and providing this reflective optical element to the tip part of the fiber scope. CONSTITUTION:A reflective optical element 22 is adhered to the tip of an illuminating light transmission path 7 including an image fiber 16. A columnar transparent body 24 consisting of a transparent glass or plastic is cut by two planes, which form about 45 deg. to the axis of the transparent body 24 and form about 90 deg. to each other, to obtain this reflective optical element 22. The illuminating light made incident from one end face is reflected on the columnar surface of this reflective optical element 22 and is emitted from another end face. When a reflective material such as aluminum, silver, or the like is vapor-deposited to the columnar surface, this surface is strong against flaws and dirt. |
