PURPOSE:To improve an exhaust gas performance right after starting combustion, by delaying operation of a controller which performs control of the quantity of the combustion air during a specified period of time from the time right after a burner starts to operate. CONSTITUTION:Since heating power is low right after combustion starts, fuel is gradually accumlated in a burner 2, and while the heating power increases soon, the accumulated fuel is burned for a short time. Thus, a combustion quantity larger than that of the fuel temporarily fed is generated, and simultaneously, a large quantity of carbon monoxide is produced and quantities of soot is also generated. Thus, after an operating switch is closed, an electric input to a controller 15 is shut off for a specified time by a timer device 16 and a large quantity of combustion air is supplied to the burner 2 with a motor 12 directly run, and this constitution prevents an exhaust gas performance from worsening even during combustion right after combustion starts. |
