PURPOSE:To execute a restart by constituting a titled copying machine so that a driving motor is stopped after a photosensitive drum has been driven by a prescribed time, even when a paper jam detecting device is operated at the time of start of copying. CONSTITUTION:For instance, it is supposed that a machine is stopped due to a power failure etc., and by chance, a void part 12 of a photosensitive drum 10 is in a position of a paper jam detecting device 8. In such a state, when a copying machine is started, a detecting signal is outputted as a paper jam state, but a photosensitive drum driving motor is driven for a prescribed time, namely, for a necessary time when the void part 12 of the drum 10 is detached from the front of the detecting device 8, and thereafter, the driving motor is stopped. Accordingly, when a start button is pushed again, the paper jam state is not detected but the photosensitive drum driving motor is driven, and regular copying can be executed. |
