PURPOSE:To exactly detect the near end state of rolled papers by a method in which a detection means to detect the rotation of roller paper, a counter means to count the intermittent feeding number of the paper, and a calculation means are provided, and calculation is made and compared with a given value. CONSTITUTION:A disc 20a having a groove 20b formed in the radial direction is fixed to the end of a bobbin 18 for a roller paper 12, and the rotation of the roller paper 12 is detected from the rocking movement of a detection lever 22 when the tip of the lever 22 is contacted with the disc 20a. By counting line feeding signals (a) for the line-feed drive of journal printing, etc., by a counter 24a, the feeding amount of the paper is calculated. The values are compared with values DELTA set and stored in a memory 25a in a comparator 25 to judge the near end of the roller paper. Even when the roller paper is vibrated in a case, the near end of the paper can be detected with a high accuracy. |
