PURPOSE:To eliminate minute particles such as the mist which is mixed into an outside air or generated from inside of a magnetic disk device, by providing a filter containing active carbon inside a disk enclosure which is sealed up by a cover. CONSTITUTION:The outside air flowing inside through a breathing hole 1B from an outer wall OUT of a cover 1 toward an arrow b4 flows out to an inner wall IN of the cover 1 through active carbon 12 of a breathing filter 9. At the same time, a pierced hole 11A is set at an air path within the cover 1, the air can be transmitted in the direction of an arrow b5 or b6. The surface of the carbon 12 contains microminiature holes as in case when it is widely used as a deodorant. Therefore the carbon 12 absorbs satsifactorily the minute mist, etc. which produces odors. Thus it is possible to eliminate minute particles which are mixed into the outside air or generated inside a magnetic disk device. |
