<p>PURPOSE:To enable the safe and easy operation for parting a process kit from the body of a device by supporting automatically the process kit roughly in a horizontal position when said body is opened vertically. CONSTITUTION:When the operator releases a locking pawl 21 in order to open an upper body 17 from a lower body 18 for the purpose of maintenance or disposition of jammed paper, the body 17 is lifted by a lifting mechanism 22. When it is held slightly in an upper position, the right side of a process kit 15 shown in the figure is raised as 15a is engaged with a guide member 19. The left side is not raised as 15b is not engaged with a guide member 20. When the body 17 ascends further, the member 20 on the left side comes up and engages with the left guide rail 15b of the kit 15. The left side of the kit 15 is then raised as well and at this time, the kit 15 is pulled up with some shift to the right side.</p> |
