PURPOSE:To enable to vary the speed of rotation of a water turbine irrespective of the change of water level, by controlling a damper attached to a water discharge port at the bottom of a water tank and a guide vane attached to an injection sleeve. CONSTITUTION:When the runner 8 of a cross-flow water turbine is turned by closing a damper 10 after completion of installation of the water turbine apparatus, opening a guide vane 9 to a required position by manipulating a handle and thereby introducing water into an injection sleeve 7, a generator 15 is driven by the turning force of the water turbine and the rotational energy is converted into electric power. Here, if water is introduced excessively into a water tank 1, superfluous water is discharged forward from an overflow port 6 formed at the upper part of the water tank 1. Therefore, it is enabled to prevent supply of too much water to the water turbine. |
