PURPOSE:To execute a position control of each truck so that a mutual interference or an abnormal approach does not occur, by providing a position detecting pattern along a guide, so that each position detecting head which has been attached to each truck can detect an absolute position in response to this pattern. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with a rotation of each motor M1-M10, each track 3-1-3-10 runs independently and freely, respectively, along guide rains 1, 2. Each truck 3-1-3-10 is loaded with position detecting heads 6-1-6-10. Also, sensor rods 20-22 are provided along a length range of the guide rails 1, 2. The sensor rods 20-22 are provided with a prescribed position pattern, and each position detecting head 6-1-6-10 detects a head in the overall length of the guide rails, 1, 2, namely, an absolute position of each truck 3-1-3-10, in response to said pattern.
