PURPOSE:To make the title printer inexpensive and capable of copying with any thimble, by providing a means for connecting a cartridge of a thimble- controlling table for controlling thimbles. CONSTITUTION:The title printer comprises a microprocessor circuit 1, a cartridge-connecting part 2 for connecting a cartridge 7-n (n+1, 2, ..., N) of a thimble-controlling table, a reception buffer 3, a firmware ROM 4, a mechanism-controlling part 5 for controlling printing, and a mechanism part 6 for printing. The cartridge 7-n of the thimble-controlling table corresponding to a thimble used is connected to the cartridge-connecting part 2, and the microprocessor 1 so functions to perform printing while obtaining from the cartridge 7-n information on the position on the circumference of the thimble of a type corresponding to a printing code in data sent from a host device, an appropriate printing pressure and the width of the type. |
