<p>Cis-1-acetyl 4-(4-((2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl) 2-bromomethyl 1,3-dioxolano-4-yl) methoxy)phenyl)piperazine (I) is made by reacting 1-acetyl 4-(4-hydroxy phenyl) piperazine (III) with a cpd. of formula (II), (Z is halo-methyl sulphonyloxy) in presence of methanol at 60-90 deg.C to form the ether link. - The prod. is recrystallised from solvent such as methyl isobutyl ketone. A small excess (5-10% molar) of (III) is used in the reaction.</p> |
