METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CATHODERAY TUBE AND CATHODE-RAY TUBE MANU FACTURED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD

The manufacturing method for a cathode-ray tube has four steps. First, the glass tube(1) is heated and softened. Then, the glass tube is inserted into the mandrel(2), a cross-section of which is step-shaped to form shoulders at the wall. The tube and mandrel are cooled, and the mandrel is removed. Finally, the glass is cut and joined to a display plate having a conductive layer(13) and a grid electrode(14) in a large section. The small section is for an electron gun.
