PURPOSE:To form the folded sheets consisting of those sheets conveyed out from a printer and folded, into a defined number of folded sheet group to efficiently bundle them, by driving each component of a stacker bundler so that the speed thereof synchronizes with the printing speed of a printer and tontinuously operating a process ranging from the printer to the bundler. CONSTITUTION:When folded sheets 2, conveyed out onto a carrying conveyor 1 through a rotary press, are counted by a digital counter 3 and a given number of sheets are obtained, a variable speed conveyor 1c is accelerated to form a gap 2a for distinguishing a preceding folded sheet group from a subsequent folded sheet group. The folded sheets 2 conveyed pass a vibrator 5 to have the right and left ends thereof registered. The folded sheets, both sides of which are registered, are converted into a side-up attitude from a horizontal attitude by a rise conveyor 6, the upper ends of the folded sheets 2 are brought into contact with a stopper 8 to be aligned at the rear end of a sheet discharge platform 7. The front of a folded sheet group 20 so aligned is supported by a subholder 13, the second subholder 13 is driven forward with an increase in the folded sheets by a chain 13a, a preceding folded sheet group 21 is supported by a main holder 17 and simultaneously is compresed by a pre-swing 15, and is bundled by a bundler to be discharged from a device line. In which case, a swing arm 11 waits in a vertical state at the rear of the rise conveyor 6, and the first subholder 12 waits below the rear of the sheet discharge platform 7. |
