PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce the cost of the titled apparatus, by a method wherein the bearing stand and the support stand of a drum apparatus on which a vehicle is mounted are removed and a drum is directly attached to the shaft end of a synamometer. CONSTITUTION:A drum 1 on which the drive shaft of a two-wheeled vehicle is mouonted is directly connected to the shaft end of the rotary shaft of a dynamometer 4 which is pierced through and protruded from a bearing stand 8. By this structure, the bearing for the drum 1 is also used as the bearing of the dynamometer 4 and, therefore, the reduction in the installation cost of a dynamometer apparatus, the simplification of anchoring work and the cost reduction of the apparatus as the whole can be simultaneously attained. In addition, because the gravitational center positions of the rotor of the dynamometer, the drum 1 and the vehicle on the drums come to the vicinity of the drum side bearing 8 and almost no weight is applied to the opposite side bearing, the total wt. is applied to the drum side bearing and, althrough slight difficulty is accompanied from the standpoint of fabrication, the obstacle in measuring operation is not brought about. |
