PURPOSE:To manufacture a Hall head easier and bring out the maximum advantage of the Hall head by arranging parts of a pair of half bodies of a thin core adjacent to their magnetically notched prts, so that the parts face to each other with a prescribed gap in between, and putting a thin Hall element in a back gap. CONSTITUTION:A pair of half bodies 3 and 3a of a film-like core, in which magnetically notched parts 38 and 39 are formed at both sides of their front gap areas 35 corresponding to the width of a track contacting with a tape, are faced to each other with a prescribed length of gap at the section of each area 35. Moreover, a Hall element 4 formed by vacuum deposition is put into the overlapped part at the back gap 33 side of the half body 3. In addition to the above, the half bodies 3 and 3a are backed by backup members 2 and 2a of a nonmagnetic material. Therefore, this Hall head 1 is manufactured by vacuum deposition the Hall element 4 on the half body of core 3, and the thickness of the Hall head 1 can be minimized and the electromotive force can be made larger. |
