PURPOSE:To provide the titled color reaction paper excellent in handwriting density, stability of handwriting with time, light resistance and heat resistance, wherein a hydroxyphthalic acid ester is used as a color reaction agent. CONSTITUTION:A hydroxyphthalic acid ester of the formula (wherein each of R1 and R2 is alkyl, phenyl, benzyl) (e.g., 3-hydroxy-o-phthalic acid ester, 2- hydroxyterephthalic acid ester) is applied to a base as a color reaction agent to obtain a color reaction paper for pressure-sensitive copying. When the hydroxyphthalic acid ester is used, the objective color reaction paper more excellent in handwriting density, stability of handwriting with time, light resistance, heat resistance and fastness of handwriting as compared with the case of using a conventional organic color reaction agent can be obtained. |
