<p>Damp redn. is described for a multitude of cavities and pores interlinked by capillary tubes, filled with water which forms films of contact water on the cavity or pore walls and which are in the form of a water pocket in the cavities or pores filled with water. The improvement is that the surfaces of the water located in the cavities or pores (20) are covered with a thin layer (26) of a material which prevents evaporation of the water and the films of the contact water (22) are destroyed by means of the hydrophobic agent. Also claimed is a covering compsn. comprising a mixt. of clear paraffin oil, oleic acid and light fuel, the oleic acid forming 1-2 vol.% of the mixt. and the light fuel being present in vol.% at least equal to that of the clear paraffin oil. The process reduces the amt. of damp in the walls, the effect being practically permanent.</p> |
