The invention relates to an armature for an electric motor having a central shaft (110) which is set up to rotate with respect to a housing (BI, BS) by means of two bearings (115, 116), and contains a commutator (120), armature coils (130) and a ventilator (140) which are arranged in a row on this shaft. With respect to the ventilator (140), the armature coils (130) are separated from the shaft by an annular space (114), and the ventilator (145) has an eccentric (axially displaced) attachment collar (140c) which is pressed onto the shaft inside the annular space (114), and in such a manner that the axial space requirement for the attachment collar of the ventilator falls on the axial space occupied by the armature coils. <IMAGE>
