PURPOSE:To obtain a composite image of a copied image of an original and a print image produced by electric signals with a simple constitution, by using an array of shutter elements whose light transmittance varies in response to the electric signal. CONSTITUTION:The scan image of an original on a original board 21 is formed on a shutter array of a shutter array panel 50 by an image forming optical system 22. The shutter array contains many minute shutter elements having variable light transmittance, and the light transmitting through the shutter array corresponds to the pattern of an optical original image. Therefore the original image is projected as it is on the surface of a photosensitive drum 10 by an image forming optical system 12 if the shutter elements of the shutter array are all open. When a proper image signal is supplied to the shutter array, a prescribed shutter element is closed in response to a print image signal and in addition to the image pattern of the original. Thus it is possible to write the pattern of the print image to the white part of a copied image. This facilitates easy composition of a positive-positive type image. |
