In a roller shutter, to the box (10) of which the lateral guide rails (40) for the roller shutter armour (30) are each connected in an aligned manner by an adaptor (50), there being cut out on one longitudinal side of the box bottom (12) an elongate passage opening for the roller shutter armour (30), at each end of which an inlet tulip (56) guiding the armour is arranged, the inlet tulip (56) is according to the invention in each case arranged on the adjacent adaptor (50), the adaptor (50) expediently consisting with the inlet tulip (56) of one piece and preferably being manufactured from a high-strength plastic with good sliding properties. As a result, the separate arrangement of such tulips on the box bottom or on the roll-off strip, which was previously associated with considerable outlay, is avoided, and no more accurate alignment is necessary, which considerably reduces the manufacturing costs of the roller shutter. <IMAGE>
