<p>A device for attachment to a tank in the event of an emergency requiring drainage of the tank. The device is adapted to be coupled to a strategically located port on the tank and upon coupling therewith automatically ejects a plug to establish an outflow circuit from the tank. The device includes a flow limiting feature which is calibrated to avoid the buildup of an excessive vacuum in the tank, provisions to introduce an inert replacement gas into the tank, and structure to limit the pressure of the replacement gas.</p> |
