PURPOSE:To separate and recover an end plate and the body of an empty metallic can, by supporting the outer periphery of can body wall at seamed part and releasing the seaming by pushing the end plate from the outside into the can body and taking it out. CONSTITUTION:A can body 1 is pressed and held vertically or horizontally by a chuck 2, and the end plate 3 is pushed from the outside into the can body as shown by the arrow 5 by a pushing die 4, and seamed part of the edge of the can body 1 and the periphery of the end plate 3 is released smoothly and easily. The stroke of pushing of the end plate 3 by the pushing die 4 is limited to the length of entrance of seamed end of the end plate 3 into the can body 1. In pushing the end plate 3, a thrusting rod 6 provided in the pushing die 4 is advanced, and the pointed head 7 is penetrated the center of the end plate 3. When pulling out, its bulged part is hooked to the penetrated edge of the end plate 3. After releasing the seamed part, the end plate 3 is pulled out of the can body 1 together with the pushing die 4, and separated from the pushing die 4 by advancing a removing piece 12 in the direction of the arrow 5. |
