PURPOSE:To cause a magnetic fluid to prevent the ascent of oil in a liquid chamber, by composing an oil scraper of the magnetic fluid and a magnet. CONSTITUTION:An oil scraper 12 comprises a magnetic fluid 21 and a magnet 22. A small clearance is defined between a rod 8 and a land provided between an intermediate chamber 11 and a chamber 23 in which the magnet 22 is placed. The magnetic force of the magnet 22 gathers the magnetic fluid into the clearance. Another small clearance is defined between the rod 8 and another land provided between a liquid chamber 13 and the magnet chamber 23. The magnetic force of the magnet also gathers the magnetic fluid 21 into the latter clearance. The magnetic fluid 21 prevents the ascent of oil in the liquid chamber 13. The sliding heat of the rod 8 is transferred to the outside through the magnetic fluid 21 to promote the cooling of the rod and parts sliding thereon. |
