<p>PURPOSE:To provide a sliding material compsn. which exhibits excellent bearing characteristics and can endure use under high load conditions, containing a polyphenylene sulfide resin, tetrafluoroethylene resin, a metal oxide, an arom. polyamide fiber and metallic powder. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. contains a polyphenylene sulfide resin as the main component and further tetrafluoroethylene polymer resin, a metal oxide, an arom. polyamide fiber and metal powder. In said compsn., pref. the amount of the tetrafluoroethylene polymer resin is 15-30wt%, that of the metal oxide is 10-30wt% and the blending ratio of the tetrafluoroethylene polymer resin to the metal oxide is 1-2. The addition of the arom. polyamide fiber to the polyphenylene sulfide resin improves the mechanical strength, contributes to the stabilization of bearing characteristics and has an effect of improving bearing performance rather than reducing it due to increase in the frictional coefficient as in inorg-fibers such as glass fiber or carbon fiber.</p> |
