PURPOSE:To reduce the operation time of the cooling or heating apparatus to thereby save energy by a method wherein the natural temperature differences among spaces in the building are utilized effectively. CONSTITUTION:A gravel tank 6 embedded with porous pipes 5 is provided in a space 2 under the floor of the building or in the ground near the building, the porous pipes 5 and a duct 8 mounting a ventilating fan thereon are connected to each other and one end of the duct 8 is made to open in the space 11 in the room or the space 12 under the roof. When a predetermined temperature difference takes plate between the space 2 under the floor or the space 12 under the roof in summer, the ventilating fan 7 operates to circulate cool air in the space under the floor through the space 11 or 12 so that the temperature in the space 11 or 12 is lowered and the operation of a cooler in the known cooling apparatus is controlled as low as possible to thereby save energy. Further, when the temperature in the space under the roof rises in summer, high temperature air is circulated automatically through the space in the room or through the space under the floor and the temperature in the room space is adjusted directly or indirectly. |
