PURPOSE:To efficiently perform automatic operation in a crematory, by burning a coffin by a programmed combustion in accordance with the weight of a coffin by a weight signal from a weighing device installed in the under-side of a crematory. CONSTITUTION:When a coffin carrying cart 5, mounting a coffin, running on a guide rail, is brought into a main combustion chamber 1 from a cooling chamber 6 for ashes, the weight of the coffin 4 acts on a load cell 3, and the current which is proportional to the weight is fed into a controller 7. As a result, a signal will correspond to one of those which are previously divided into several stages, an operating signal corresponding to the stage is put out to operate a fuel feeder 8 and an air blower 9, and an initial value is set, then a main combustion burner 10 is ignited and combustion is started. Very high combustion is not necessary for the first 10-15min, because a coffin and belongings with a corpse are mainly burned. Accordingly, after low combustion is continued for about ten minutes, the furnace proceeds to high combustion of a corpse. In this occasion, both fuel feed and air feed are fully opened to the maximum set value, changing with the passage of time, according to the weight of an object to be burned. The combustion at the maximum condition is continued for about 40-50min, and then the incineration is completed. |
