<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate an inserting operation of characters, by using the 1st and 2nd function keys to indicate and release the function which insert blanks among characters on a display of a character string input device. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard KB, a line buffer LB, an ROM display part DCON DSP and a print part PCON PRT are connected to a system bus SB on the basis of a microprocessor MPU. When a character string is spplied from the KB, this character string is stored in order of input to the BL and at the same time supplied to the part DCON in an image of the LB. The character string is displayed D with a push of a space key after the input of words is over. When characters are insterted to a charater string, a cursor is shifted to a desired position of insertion and a key ''CODE, INSERT'' is pushed to produce blanks. Then a desired character is pushed and inserted. Then a key ''CODE, INSERT'' is pushed to release an insertion mode. Thus the inserting operation of characters is facilitated.</p> |
