PURPOSE:To make the operation for selecting plating devices for single surface and double surfaces easy and to improve the working efficiency of a titled installation by forming both plating devices into respective units and supporting said units on respective support frames which are mountable horizontally to the stand in the side part of a plating cell attachably and detachably. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip is carried into a box 30 of a plating device for single surface through a flexible duct in the case of plating the one side of said strip first by a continuous type installation capable of galvanizing bath single surface and double surfaces. Molten zinc is injected to the bottom surface of the strip which is moved horizontally between a pair of horizontal rolls 33 and 33a to plate the zinc on one surface. The plating device for single surface is made into a unit in this case and the unit is supported on a support frame 20. The frame 20 is supported on the receiving bases 25- of stands 34- by means of arms 23-. The selection to plating on double surfaces is accomplished by lifting and removing the frame 20 with a crane or the like, and installing a support frame 70 which supports the unit of a plating device for double surfaces similarly on the stands 24- in place of the former frame. The double surfaces of the strip is plated by synchronous rolls 74. |
