PURPOSE:To obtain a specified can opening by simple work by making the upper face of a holding stand on which a top plate is placed higher than the upper face of a lower split die, and supporting the holding stand to allow lowering. CONSTITUTION:The top plate 27 of a can is placed on a receiving base 15. A split die 18 is lowered from the upper part and the inner wall 19a of an upper die 19 is inserted to the slanted face of outer wall 18a of the split die 18 to fasten tight the split die 18 to specified diameter. At the same time, the receiving face 15 is pushed to come into contact with the lower die 13. A plunger punch 20 is lowered simultaneously, and a tapered supporter 31 in the lower split die 14 is pressed by a pressure punch 20b of the plunger punch 20. Consequently, the lower split die 14 is windened outward, and swelled out to the plate 27 to form a swelled part 27d. The projected part of the can top plate 27 is deformed to conform with the shape of the lower split die 14 and split die 18. |
