PRODUCTION OF TRANSFER SHEET AND RIBBON FOR THERMAL PRINTER USED THEREIN

PURPOSE:To enhance working efficiency by mounting a ribbon for a thermal printer on the thermal printer and applying printing to the release surface of a releasable substrate sheet by the thermal printer to form a pattern layer and an adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon 2 for a thermal printer constituted by forming a color layer 5 on the release surface of a releasable base film 3 composed of a polyethylene terephthalate resin or the like through an adhesive layer 4 is mounted on the thermal printer and the color layer 5 is brought into contact with a releasable substrate sheet 1 to be printed. A thermal head is brought into contact with the releasable base film 3 of the ribbon 2 moved along the releasable substrate sheet in a superposefd state and heat is applied to the ribbon from the thermal head to bring the color layer 5 into contact with a printing surface. Next, the releasable base film 3 is released to form a pattern layer 8 on the releasable substrate sheet 1. An anchor layer is formed on the color layer 5 to enhance the adhesion of the color layer 5 and the releasable substrate sheet 1.
