PURPOSE:To quicken hooking of the leading part of a thread and thereby lessening amount of the thread to be wasted by allowing a waste thread treatment device to receive the thread end while it is wound round a bobbin in several turns and by cutting the thread between the bobbin and treatment device after overlapping wound threads on the surface of bobbin. CONSTITUTION:Thread 1 under guidance of a guide roller 2 is wound round a bobbin 3' in several turns while attracted by a suction gunk 4. When this suction gun 4 is shifted to the right in order to wind the thread 1 round a bobbin 3 installed coaxially, the thread 1 moves also to the right. If the thread portion situated between roller 2 and bobbin 3 is reciprocated a little by hand when the thread has moved to somewhere on the bobbin 3, the thread 1 wound several turns crosses each other on the bobbin 3 to form a fixed point and makes no slip any more on the bobbin 3. Thus winding will start now, when the thread shall be cut promptly between bobbin and suction gun. |
