摘要 |
PURPOSE:To eliminate the nonuniformity in the pressure acting on each tape surface and to prevent the irregularity in transmission characteristics by laminating taped optical fiber cores apart from each other and connecting the same by means of elastic coupling materials having low Young's modulus. CONSTITUTION:Taped optical fiber cores 1 are made into the construction wherein plural optical fiber strands 2 each consisting of an optical fiber provided with a cushion layer of an Si resin or the like on the outside thereof are arranged within the same plane and are fixed like a tape to one body with a tape covering 3 of nylon or the like. Plural sheets of such cores 1 are laminated apart from each other and elastic coupling materials 4 having low Young's modulus are interposed in the clearances between the laminated layers by which the laminated layers are connected to each other. The materials 4 are also coated on the outside circumference. Si resin having, for example, about 0.1-1kg/mm.<2> Young's modulus is used for the elastic coupling material having low Young's modulus. |
