PURPOSE:To observe an image clearly without the fatigue of the eye during the observation by providing a means for clear image formation on an image formation surface and a means of confirming whether the image in focus or not. CONSTITUTION:Light for focusing detection from a light source 10 illuminates an object to be photographed through the optical system consisting of a light guide fiber 18, the gap part 14 between photodetectors 16A and 16B, a beam splitter 12, and an endoscope 1. Reflected light from the object to be photographed is image-formed in front of an ocular system 7 through an objective optical system 6 and relay optical systems 6 and 6'. An eyepiece 7 is moved so that an image formed while enlarged by the ocular optical system 7 is at bright view distance (d). Image light incident to the photodetectors 16A and 16B operating associatively with the eyepiece through the beam splitter 12 is image-formed on the gap part 14 and minimized. A lamp 22 is turned on through a focusing detecting circuit 22 according to the outputs of the photodetectors 16A and 16B, so that a focusing state is confirmed easily. |
