PURPOSE:To keep the function of a bearing by a method wherein some grooves are formed at opposed surfaces of a shaft and the bearing, a high hard material is arranged in the side surface of the groove at a position lower than that of the groove and then those cut chips stuck in a clearance between the shaft and the bearing are removed. CONSTITUTION:In a static bearing 2 for supporting a shaft 1, grooves 7 and 9 for discharging cut chips are axially arranged at the outer circumference of the shaft 1 and the inner circumference of the bearing 2. In the inner part of the groove, a high hard material 8 is arranged on the side surface of the groove 7 which is oriented in the same direction as the rotational direction of the shaft. For the groove 9 of the bearing 2, a high hard material 10 is arranged on the side surface of the groove 9 which is oriented in the direction opposite to the rotational direction. Heights of the extremity ends of the high hard materials 8 and 10 are set in advance to occupy a position lower than the height of the groove. |
