摘要 With the device, the volume of liquid flowing per unit of time through an open conduit, for example a sewer, is measured. This volume is the product of the constant width of the conduit and the changing level of the liquid stream. To detect this level, a float floating on the liquid stream is pivotably mounted in the wall of the conduit. From its changing pivoting position, the level can be determined and is modified with the width of the conduit. In the float there is a measuring probe for measuring the flow rate. By performing a logical operation on the product just mentioned and this flow rate, the volume of liquid flowing per unit of time is calculated.
