The present invention relates to a calibrated radio-frequency modulator in which the carrier signal located within the UHF band is generated with the aid of a carrier signal generator circuit. Within this carrier signal generator circuit, a coupling conductor is provided from which the carrier signal is output which is then modulated with a modulation signal, for example a video signal. According to the invention, the coupling conductor exhibits a centre tapping point which is earthed with respect to radio frequency. This makes it possible to dispense with the provision of a tuned transformer which would otherwise be required.
