PURPOSE:To hold the sufficient perpendicularity of the surface of a solid-state image pickup element to the optical axis of a photographic lens at the time of attachment of a main body without any adjustment, by providing a means for fixing a solid-state image pickup element supporting body to a plane formed at a fitting part provided to the main body. CONSTITUTION:The solid-state image pickup element 6 such as a charge coupled device is supported by a plate piece 4'. The plate piece 4' has parts 4'a projecting to both left and right sides as fitting parts to the main body. A lens barrel 13' holding lens groups 11 and 12 is provided with image pickup element fitting parts 13' at, for example, three places, and the plane containing the surfaces 13'b1-13b3 of those fitting parts facing the supporting part 1 forms the plane where the supporting body 1 is fitted. A pin 17 provided to the lens barrel 13' engages a hole 18 provided in the plate piece 4' of the supporting body 1, which is then positioned. When the element 6 is stuck, the hole 18 is only used for positioning, and precise position relation between the element 6 and optical axis is obtained during the attachment of the supporting body 1 to the lens barrel part. To attach the image pickup element supporting body 1 to the lens barrel 13', the fitting parts 13'a1-13'a3 of the lens barrel 13' are engaged with the holes 4'b1-4'b3 of the fitting parts 4'a of the plate piece 4' and they are fixed by screws 16 with corrugated washers 19 between. |
