PURPOSE:To measure constantly the water quality in a definite depth below the surface of the water, by allowing a float to rise and fall freely following up the variations of the water level by attaching to the float a sensor for examining the water to be examined, and controlling the position of the float with a guide shaft. CONSTITUTION:The balance between the buoyant force of a float 9, and the load of the float attachments fixed to the float 9, such as a water quality instrument 2, guide rolls 10 and bearings 11, is regulated by a balancer 12 with use of a sprocket 14 and a chain 13 after the manner of a balance. Thus the water quality instrument 2 fixed to the float 9 whose position is maintained constantly at a definite surface level, is maintained in a definite depth below the surface of the water 1 to be examined, in accordance with the up-and-down variations of the surface of the water 1, and serves for measuring the water quality in the definite depth. |
